Eluetian Technology is reportedly partnering with Sumitomo Corporation to provide the Japanese market with its Internet-based English education service.
Eleutian Technology is a global provider of online language teaching and tutoring and its staff is comprised of U.S. State Certified School Teachers who are trained to deliver evidence-based English education via video-conference.
Sumitomo Corporation is a Tokyo-based trading and investment firm which operates business on a global scale across multiple sectors.
The expansion of Internet usage around the world has also made English as the standard global language for business and netizens. Many countries including Japan are planning up new programs that will introduce the English language instruction from early elementary through high school. But learning the language through textbooks will not improve the conversational fluency of the students. This has fueled the practice of hiring native English speakers, who are often poorly qualified as teachers, to instruct in classrooms.
But Eluetian says it offers evidence-based English teaching curriculum and live, video-conference tutoring sessions with certified U.S. school teachers and has hired hundreds of professionals who are trained to teach English as a second language and with them students can schedule tutoring sessions at any time of the day. The company claims that its offerings are used by a range of customers, from executives at top global companies to public elementary school classrooms throughout the world.
In Japan, many company employees are faced with an increasing number of business situations in English, including presentations, meetings, and overseas trips. Accordingly, more corporations are requiring advanced language ability for job advancement, which has led to an increase in demand for business-related language education services.
Sumitomo has observed that while students do learn English in Japan they concentrate more on only improving their test scores which has led to the neglect of actual communications skills. Eleutian enables customers to address this problem through frequent and short live interactions that were otherwise not feasible with traditional models. There is no doubt that this service will fill a significant void in the market.
Eluetian has stated that the introduction of its services into the Japanese market has helped its international expansion. “The Japanese market is an immediate opportunity for Eleutian to address rapidly growing English education needs,” remarked Eleutian CEO & Founder Kent Holiday. “We are extremely excited to work with Sumitomo Corporation and leverage their expertise and customer network to expand our business.”
Eleutian had recently
boosted development performance with PerfectDisk Pro and VMware solutions and had
partnered with italki Marketplace.
