WANRedundancy.org Offers Free Online Resources for Disaster Recovery

In an ongoing effort to help the public be better prepared for disasters, WANRedundancy.org, a leading source of information regarding Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and applications for business continuity, has introduced a free collection of informational resources.

The most common disruption to any business is usually an unavailable Wide Area Network (WAN) or Internet connectivity. It causes problems such as disruptions in business activity, especially in organizations that are WAN/Internet dependent. With the disaster recovery process, the companies can recover their critical data, resources and IT infrastructure that were affected due to a disaster.

At the WANRedundancy.org web site, users will get educational material about the importance of WAN technology, business continuity and disaster recovery planning for businesses. They can find articles on subjects such as bandwidth, firewalls, load balancing, spam, VPNs, WAN routing, and others. WANRedundancy.org focuses on: dual WAN router, WAN redundancy issues, firewall load balancing, firewall redundancy, WAN network reliability, and working with public and private networks.

“We are dedicated to disseminating information to the public that address the important need of WAN redundancy, business continuity and disaster recovery planning for today's businesses," said Jay Pillai, vice president of WANRedundnacy.org. "It is our aim to help companies across all industries and of any size, have a clear and basic understanding of business continuity processes that will help them protect their companies from the detriment of downtime”

To make it convenient for the user, the company has broken down each main subject into subcategories of the main subject listed on the "Quick Links" menu. Also, general subject matters are categorized by the "Quick Links" menu.

Many other companies are providing free information on disaster recovery for the users. In September last year, Agility Recovery Solutions, a provider of on-site disaster recovery and
business continuity solutions, partnered with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and its National Preparedness Month initiative for the fourth consecutive year. The company provided four free disaster recovery webinars throughout the month for organizations and individuals.
