Elma Offers Perforated Front Panels for Fan Air Intake

Elma Electronic has started offering perforated front panels for fan air intake that have been designed to ensure optimal airflow rates.

The air intake front panels from Elma are cut with precision milling with a .3 radius bit which in turn provides exact shapes of the openings. The front panels come in 3U, 4U, and 6U heights and various width options. Oval, square or custom shapes are available for the air intake openings and the 84HP version of the front panel offers 26.85 square inches of air passage in the 2U height option.

The Elma front panels consist of a clear anodized scratch-resistant and non-conductive coating over 2.m mm of aluminum. The panels are offered with or without a cutout for an optional on-off fan switch. Other options include countersunk screws for improved aesthetics or milled-edge screws.

Elma also offers front panels and handles in IEC (News - Alert), IEEE, and custom designs. Other specialty front panels include hinged, ATCA, PMC/mezzanine, fluted, and EMC designs.

Elma Electronic designs and manufactures products for housing electronic systems. The company provides items that range from components like modular enclosures, cabinets and backplanes to complete standard or custom system platforms. Precision rotary switches are also manufactured at Elma.

Elma’s extensive practical experience in packaging electronic systems is used to minimize the time taken to develop new customized solutions. At the same time, there is no compromise on system performance or reliability. In addition, Elma guarantees compatibility and consistency since the two key electromechanical components, enclosures and backplanes are made in-house.
