Blink Logic Expands with Fully Integrated Microsoft Excel Plug-In

Blink Logic Inc., a provider of software as a service (SaaS) business intelligence, announced that it has added a fully integrated Microsoft (News - Alert) Excel plug-in to its platform as part of its reporting and analytical tools.

Blink Logic Inc. partners with ISVs to deliver SaaS business intelligence solutions to business executives. With the Blink Logic platform, ISVs can enhance their customer offerings to include powerful reporting and analytics.

The Microsoft Excel plug-in powers Blink Logic’s existing powerful business intelligence solution. Excel users can now combine Excel with functionalities with Blink Logic’s dynamic dashboards, analytics, and reporting. Users can pull out data directly from the database or from OLAP cubes, allowing them to take advantage of the powerful capabilities of OLAP cubes such as pre-calculated measures. Also, users can upload third party spreadsheets to the dashboard to save and share.

“While customers are delighted with the analytical and visualization tools that Blink Logic offers, there are some users that are just more comfortable with a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet,” said David Morris, president and CEO of Blink Logic, in a release. “About 90 percent of our customers are business managers who use our platform to slice and dice data, drill down for a deeper look and can do so with current product features.”

He continues, “But there are still about 10 percent of users that just want to use Excel. The new plug-in was developed for them. We have the data in the database, we have the pre-calculated measures, now we can give them access to the information in the format that they want it in. And we give it to them in a collaborative environment so they can share with their peers.”

Blink Logic's software-as-a-service approach helps to integrate scorecards, dashboards and Web reports into the company’s application. By delivering easy-to-use information solution to customers, it helps exceed their expectations, improve relationship, gain executive visibility, and open the door to sell them premium services. All at a low cost, with low risk, URL-level integration means no custom development is required.
