FalconStor to Provide Data Protection Solutions to Government Customers Through immixGroup

FalconStor Software, Inc., a provider of TOTALLY Open data protection solutions, announced that it is joining immixGroup for providing government customers’ with access to its portfolio of data protection solutions. immixGroup specializes in technology sales, government channel and contract management services.

 

For facilitating and simplifying the procurement process for federal, state and local government customers, FalconStor (News - Alert) is providing its Virtual Tape Library (VTL) with de-duplication, Continuous Data Protector (CDP), File-interface Deduplication System (FDS), and Network Storage Server (NSS). These are added to immixGroup General Services Administration (GSA (News - Alert)) IT Schedule 70 and NASA Solutions for Enterprise WIDE Procurement (SEWP) IV contracts.

 

This enables value-added resellers (VARs) who are selected and authorized by FalconStor and immixGroup to also sell to federal and some state government markets.

Petty also said that the agreement between the two companies will enable FalconStor to provide government agencies with the storage virtualization, data protection and deduplication solutions they need for consolidating and optimizing their IT infrastructure.

 

Government agencies will be able to procure FalconStor’s data protection solutions via immixGroup’s multiple-award, government-wide acquisition contract vehicles, with consistent and accurate pricing and clear terms and conditions.

 

immixGroup will also provide FalconStor with independent monitoring and detailed, expert analysis of the sales activities performed by its government channel partners, said company sources.
