Arcot Announces Arcot Fraud Prevention Network (AFPNet)

Arcot, a provider of fraud prevention solutions, has announced that the company will make its fraud prevention data resources available as the Arcot Fraud Prevention Network (AFPNet). Arcot has also announced that AFPNet will have DeviceDNA and DeviceID technologies from the company as key building blocks.

 

Online fraudsters are using highly advanced technical methods to cheat the gullible users online and extract sensitive information. Many victims will not even know that they have been cheated by fraudsters, or it will be simply too late before they can take any action. In such a scenario, both the corporate companies and the individuals should rely on the state of the art technologies to combat online fraud.

 

The Arcot Fraud Prevention Network monitors, tracks, quarantines, and blocks suspicious activity automatically across the entire community. AFPNet places the devices suspected to be involved with fraudulent activity in its “gray list” and members can use that information instantaneously to quarantine fraudulent behavior.

To detect and block suspicious behavior at the individual machine, IP address and payment card levels; Arcot uses a consolidated view of the entire network. The AFPNet continuously monitors online transactions and online access whether successful, failed, or abandoned. It also generates suspicious end point lists whose relevance changes over time.

 

Recently, the company announced that it will be demonstrating its new “SEND (Secure Electronic Notification and Delivery)” service in collaboration with Adobe Systems at the upcoming RSA (News - Alert) Conference 2009, San Francisco. According to Arcot, its new SEND service is a secure, email-based alternative to paper correspondence. It securely sends sensitive information over regular email without installing additional hardware or software.
