PGP Corporation enters into a Strategic Distribution Agreement with immixGroup

Looking to channel its data protection solutions into the public sector, PGP Corporation has entered into a strategic distribution agreement and marketing relationship with immixGroup. According to PGP (News - Alert) Corporation, this partnership will help the company to improve its federal channel strategy and market presence.

Irrespective of the stringent methods and the state of the art practices employed by companies, data leakage and data theft are commonplace everywhere. The invention of new storage devices has made it easier to store and carry data. Data theft not only damages the reputation of a company, it also poses many compliance problems where sensitive data is involved.

PGP’s new agreement with immixGroup allows public sector agencies and customers with access to encryption and data protection solutions. To meet federal mandates, including FIPS 140-2, Common Criteria, PGP solutions are certified, validated and accredited.

“With its deep experience and strong reputation in the federal market, we’re excited about the opportunity to work with immixGroup to continue to grow our federal business," said Lee Finck, senior director of worldwide channels of PGP Corporation. "immixGroup’s comprehensive set of services and its access to a variety of federal and state and local contract vehicles are critical to our aggressive federal growth strategy.”

To improve the demand for PGP solutions and its growth in the public sector, PGP Corporation will leverage immixGroup’s expertise in the federal market. The new agreement will provide customers with access to immixGroup’s GSA (News - Alert) IT Schedule 70, NASA SEWP IV, and various State and Local Government contracts. With an end-to-end solution for complete data protection, the PGP Encryption Platform enables public sector and government agencies to meet a variety of data security challenges.

In October last year, the company expanded its channel strategy with the launch of the PGP Managed Service Provider Network (MSPN). Through a new worldwide network of managed service providers and existing channel partners, the company aims to broaden access of its encryption solutions to mid-market and small businesses. The network will initially offer the award winning PGP Whole Disk Encryption as a Software as a Service subscription offering.
