Ektron Inc., specializing in Web content management software announced that its Web content management Platform, Ektron CMS400.NET (

Alert) is deployed in the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud.
Customers of the company can use the Cloud as a hosting option to run and manage production, development and staging environments either in the Cloud, locally or with an Ektron partner besides having the option of using any combination among the three.
Ektron’s eSync technology allows customers to bi-directionally synchronize their entire Web site, only some pages or just select pieces of content between their different environments wherever they are hosted. Ektron developers and Partners can now develop locally and sync up to the Cloud employing eSync also.
“With eSync, customers have the ultimate flexibility to choose what exists in the Cloud and what exists locally,” said Bill Rogers, chief executive officer at Ektron. “Now that our customers can deploy their Ektron-driven Web sites in the Cloud they can leverage Amazon’s elastic computing resources along with eSync to ensure their Web sites can scale and deliver the community-driven experiences that customers expect.”
The company is also delivering a set of free Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) which will allow customers to deploy CMS400.NET with eSync on Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2). This is a Web service which provides resizable computer capacity in the Cloud for hosting their Ektron-driven Web sites.
New virtual machines can be provisioned using the Ektron-provided AMIs with CMS400.NET within minutes. Developers can benefit from the provisioning and automated software deployment to easily and rapidly launch a site.
Ektron provides scalable Web content management and authoring solutions. Its CMS400.NET helps developers and non-technical business users also. Developers can benefit a lot from the company’s built-in Server Controls for deploying a Web site readily or customize the deployment using CMS400.NET’s API which is well documented.
Business users will benefit greatly from an intuitive user interface for managing their Web site’s content and messaging, said the company.
CMS400.NET is suitable for both single sites as well as enterprise level deployments. It includes a wide array of functionality like social networking, Web 2.0, SEO and synchronization tools. Ektron has completed several thousand implementations worldwide.
