Clarity, telecom industry’s operational support system business process automation company, has just launched a network rollout and asset logistics suite to extend coverage of its unified OSS into strategy infrastructure planning.
The new modules, company officials said, is aimed at allowing strategic network growth and upgrade and network operations to be managed from the same system, reducing network rollout costs and time-to-market for new revenue generating network capacity. At the same time it will consolidate the IT infrastructure that network operators need to build and maintain their network.

Clarity’s newly launched Network Rollout and Asset Logistics Suite is said to offer sophisticated planning and project management capabilities to roll-out changes to the network, bring new infrastructure on-line and generate revenue more rapidly. Additionally, it is also stated to help operators track assets through their network, reduce capital expenditure costs by better utilizing existing equipment and select more cost effective equipment to deploy.
Moreover, the new suite helps to increase network availability and revenue generation for the network as a whole through maintenance management. Costs are further reduced as operators can track commercial and legal aspects of owned, leased real-estate, including service costs such as utilities, security, and maintenance.
"In the current economic environment, operators need to reduce costs and increase revenue; both of which are provided by Clarity's new capabilities in this area. Efficiency of network rollout and asset logistics operations is strengthened by combining them with traditional OSS capabilities such as accurate and comprehensive inventory, network discovery, activation and field-force logistics," said Kalcina.
