IT Provider Axios Systems Accelerates Activity in South Africa

Axios Systems has partnered with a South African business transformation and software consultancy firm, Ovations Group. Axios will train the Johannesburg-based Ovations team on how to implement and get the most out of assyst, Axios’ core IT Service Management solution.

 

The global IT provider will also work closely with Ovations on joint marketing initiatives that bring together the strength of their ITSM software solutions and the local knowledge and consulting expertise of the Ovations Group.

 

Axios is focused on expanding its foot print in South Africa. The company has been making efforts to help Kenyan companies become more efficient through the implementation of ITIL-based best practice ITSM technology and practices.

 

The officials note a recent Gartner report that indicates Africa is able to handle the sour economy better than other countries. The research firm also expects the Middle East and Africa (MEA) to be the third fastest growth region in terms of software spending, behind Asia Pacific and Latin America.

 

Gartner (News - Alert) predicts a growth of more than 8 percent between 2008 and 2013 for this region.

 

Axios Systems sees a very strong opportunity as companies seek to reduce costs, introduce greater efficiencies and manage risk, noted Steve Botha (News - Alert), manager of the Southern African region. He pointed out that their software assyst can bring about all these changes.
