Tech Data Corporation has reportedly announced that it has entered in to contractual agreement with
Force10 Networks, a networking solutions manufacturer, to distribute its products to IT resellers all across the U.S.
"Force10 is fully committed to growing our partner base," said Andrew Stewart, vice president Global Channels at Force10, in a statement. "We're not only teaming with Tech Data (

Alert) to reach more resellers, but we have put in place a market-ready partner program that includes many innovative and lucrative offerings. We know that building our channel presence relies on having the right distributor and a strong, rewarding program for our partners. Today, we're putting all those pieces in place."
A recent example of Tech Data’s ever growing distribution presence in the market is its inclusion of
videoNEXT’s video surveillance and physical security software solutions for Mac OS X with IP security management software,
reported TMCnet, and an
example of Force10’s global reach is its recent world’s largest ever public demonstration of 10 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) traffic switching in partnership with
Ixia, and some of the companies using its networking solutions are
eHarmony and the NationalOceanic and Atmospheric Administration (
NOAA).
Collaborative efforts, such as this one between Tech Data and Force10, are in keeping with one of the seven mantras of the time, as
reported by
TMCnet, which dictates that organizations must make serious efforts to reach out and work with each other. The seven guidelines for succeeding in current economic environment are collectively called the CES (

“Force10 is a growing and respected developer of innovative networking solutions, and Tech Data will help them expand their partner base by recruiting and enabling new resellers throughout the country," said John O'Shea (
News -
Alert), vice president of networking product marketing at Tech Data, in a statement.
Officials at the company claim that it is offering a broad spectrum of Force10’s solutions that include: S-Series of 1 and 10 Gigabit Ethernet switches for small and medium businesses (SMBs), larger mid-market companies, and users in the public sector like government agencies, educational institutions and healthcare facilities; and high-end data center switches, routers and other networking infrastructure solutions.
These solutions are also being offered with full access to Force10 warranty and service agreements, which they can attach to all hardware sales, and official sources claim that the time is just right for marketing networking solutions.
"Demands on the network continue to grow exponentially with the increasing deployment of solutions like HD video conferencing, video surveillance and unified communications," O'Shea said.
It is a fairly well documented fact that more and more people are demanding, as reported earlier by TMC (News - Alert), wired and wireless broadband related technologies, and this has catapulted broadband usage up by 84 percent, TMC reported, in 2008 when compared with 2007.
