“We are excited to work alongside the other members of ng Connect to develop prototypes for in-car game systems using GameStreamer's proprietary predictive streaming technology over 4G, as well as other projects utilizing GameStreamer's digital distribution platform and technology," said Nathan Lands, executive vice president and Co-Founder of GameStreamer.
As TMCnet has
reported earlier this year,
Alcatel-Lucent founded the
ng Connect Program, a global multi-industry initiative, to bring together device, application and content providers to drive the development and ecosystem of innovative services for Fourth Generation (4G), Long Term Evolution (LTE (

The program plans to help customers stream more content, says TMCnet’s
report, run more sophisticated applications on-the-go, communicate in the most popular formats of today and tomorrow, and its members include HP, Samsung (

"Organizations like the ng Connect Program, which are driving collaboration among leaders in multiple industries involved in the broadband digital media value chain, help ensure faster, more efficient progress and ultimately make the promise of 4G technologies a reality for consumers," said Lands.
Officials at the company say that it will be able to contribute towards collaborative technology solutions and also leverage the synergetic technology know-how, wisdom and experience of other ng members to compress its own development project time frames.
ng Connect members are in technology streams, says GameStream, such as enterprise collaboration, e-healthcare and productivity, digital signage, automotive connectivity, consumer media and entertainment, and broadband computing. The last three are also its own speciality areas and therefore it well matched for the ng initiative.
"GameStreamer is passionate about the gaming industry growing and evolving. We see 4G as a means to achieve that evolution through empowering people with the freedom to go where they want to and still have the broadband speeds and rich media and gaming experience they are accustomed to at home," said Lands.
Such collaborative efforts are in keeping with one of the seven mantras of the time, as
reported by
TMCnet, which dictates that organizations must make serious efforts to reach out and work with each. The seven guidelines for succeeding in current economic environment are collectively called the CES (
