Released recently, the latest version of Moblin will be will be used by Xandros to implement customizations with advanced capabilities such as Internet, media, social networking and graphics for the ASUS Eee PC.

Alert)-based devices such as Netboks, mobile Internet devices (MIDs), embedded usage models, and more.
The Moblin Architecture includes a hardware and usage model independent layer called a Mobilin Core and this is built on Linux kernel and device drivers specific to the hardware platform. Above the Moblin Core there are specific user interfaces and user interaction models designed for the target device.
According to Xandros, it has enhanced ASUS’s Eee PC user experience by providing advanced graphics capabilities such as drop shadows, spin, bounce and 3D animation.
Also, by integrating Moblin v2 technologies with Xandros' technologies, Xandros has been able to incorporate advanced capabilities into the ASUS Eee PC such as social networking, multimedia content management, PIM, Web, and other services.
