Huawei USA Earns TL9000 Certification

Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., a company focused in providing next-generation telecommunications network, serving 36 of the world's top 50 operators, along with over one billion users worldwide, has announced that company’s USA office has been  awarded TL9000-V R4.0/R4.0 and ISO 9001:2000 Certification for demonstrating standardization.

 

The prestigious TL9000 and ISO 9001:2000 designation is based on the implementation of specific quality procedures and demonstrating a commitment to quality in the design, development, production, delivery, installation and maintenance of products and services within the telecommunications industry.

 

This commitment is verified through detailed external audit review stages. TL 9000 certification denotes conformance to a telecommunications-specific set of requirements based on ISO 9000 and was developed by the Quality Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunications Forum (QuEST (News - Alert) Forum).

 

At the core of ISO 9001:2000 are the principles of customer focus, leadership within the industry, and the involvement of employees and management in developing and continuously updating a process approach to rectifying issues.

 

Carl Liu, Executive Vice President of Huawei (News - Alert) North America noted that, achieving TL9000 certification was an integral part of Huawei’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality products to meet customers' needs in North America.

This is further proof that our organization is committed to sustaining the highest levels of quality in the industry and continual process improvement at all levels.”

 

The company recently made headlines for launching a 2G base station (BTS) designed for use in rural communities in developing markets. According to the company, this new The "EasyGSM BTS" is industry's first All IP-based compact BTS specifically designed for rural areas.

 

The BTS represents another innovative product designed and developed in close collaboration with Vodafone (News - Alert) in the two firms' joint Radio Mobile Innovation Centre based in Madrid, Spain.
