Versaweb Intros UltraVPS for Businesses

Versaweb has introduced UltraVPS, fully-managed Virtual Private Servers for businesses.

Located in Las Vegas, Nev., Versaweb is a provider of dedicated servers and colocation services for small to medium sized businesses. The company operates its own BGP4 multi-homed network, and maintains its POP in a fully redundant private datacenter facility in Las Vegas.

According to the company, the new UltraVPS service offers user with four different Linux-based VPS hosting plans. The first one, the UltraVPS Light plan includes 20GB of RAID-10 disk space, the second come with 256MB of guaranteed RAM (burstable to 512MB), and third one has 300GB of monthly data transfer. The highest-end plan, which starts at $64.95 per month, offers 80GB of disk space and 1200GB of monthly data transfer.

The basic plan starts with $19.95 per month and all plans including the basic comes with standard server management, with one hour of hands-on system administration time per month. Customers also benefit from 24x7 technical support and discounts on popular software through exclusive partnership agreements.

Rob Tyree, CTO of R and D Technologies said in a statement that, the launch of UltraVPS provides an opportunity to more strategically target segments of the hosting market and more effectively serve their customer base.

He said that, by building a VPS brand on top of their existing hosting infrastructure, they benefit from the economies of scale and scope associated with running a large hosting operation, without sacrificing their ability to be responsive to the dynamic needs of their customers.

UltraVPS servers are located in Versaweb’s Las Vegas data facility, featuring gigabit fiber optic connectivity to multiple tier-1 and tier-2 networks. The facility boasts 24x7 monitoring and a variety of security, fire suppression, and power redundancy systems.
