FastSoft Launches New 10Gbps E-Series EX Internet Accelerator

FastSoft, a developer of server-side technologies, has announced the addition of a new product to its E Series line, so called E Series EX, which is an Internet accelerator unit that increases TCP (transmission control protocol) traffic considerably, thereby speeding up web applications and data transfers.

Built on the FastSoft (News - Alert) 2.0 platform, the new E Series EX has the capability to accelerate TCP traffic by 2 to 5 times and supports 10Gbps throughput. The company's patented FastTCP technology, which is fully standards-compliant, optimizes TCP (an Internet communication protocol) with acceleration techniques, thereby enabling faster speeds.

FastSoft said that the E Series EX maximizes power as well as space efficiency by featuring 1U form factor. Accelerating rich, dynamic content across the Internet, the new product also provides intelligent performance analysis as well as reporting to help companies improve the end-user experience - to create greater loyalty and higher web site conversion.

According to FastSoft, E Series EX is a transparent solution that requires no tweaking of servers or rewriting of applications at the server or client sides. It requires no software or hardware at the client-side and thereby helps in reducing the need for companies to build and maintain regional datacenters.

"The E Series EX requires no client-side technology, so it expands the useful range of your datacenter. Your TCP traffic travels faster globally without requiring regional datacenters, which lowers delivery costs," said Diego Dugatkin, VP product management, FastSoft, in a release. "It helps hosting, SaaS (News - Alert), social networking, content distribution networks, and cloud computing companies generate more revenue through creating immersive web experiences."

FastSoft’s E Series line is comprised of six models ranging in throughput capacity. The E Series 2.0, with throughput capacity from 10Mbps through 1Gbps, consists of five models, namely E10 (10Mbps), E50 (50Mbps), E100 (100Mbps), E200 (200Mbps), and E1000 (1Gbps). The last model is the newly launched E Series EX with 10Gbps throughput capacity.

According to Dugatkin, the E Series 2.0 line offers real-time acceleration reporting as well as analysis. It can measure the speed boost for all TCP sessions as well as provide a set of real-time graphs that report the improvement by round trip time (RTT). Customers can use these tools to determine how much faster their web pages or Internet videos download around the globe.

FastSoft said that its new E Series EX ships with either 10Gbps copper or fiber interfaces and this high availability configuration eliminates single points of failure while employing advanced failover capabilities.

FastSoft customers include companies dealing with social networking, digital content creation and delivery, and SaaS.
