Axios Systems Signs Three New Deals in the Gulf Region

Axios Systems has signed multiple deals with Al Rajhi Bank in KSA, a major GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) retail group, and Future Pipe Dubai, in the UAE. Axios Systems (News - Alert) already has strong presence in the Gulf region and these deals will help the company further strengthen its position there.

The company claims that the new interest in its services in the Middle East is mainly because of its “assyst ITSM” software solution. The company offers integration solutions to extend the reach of the assyst IT Service Management solution. To add value to the company’s assyst solution, Axios Systems also offers pre-integrated complementary solutions such as Password Management, Asset Management or Remote Control.

Axios has already established an office in the United Arab Emirates in 2007 where the company has been experiencing significant growth ever since.

Markos Symeonides, vice president of the Middle East region for Axios, said, “This is further evidence of the demand we are seeing in the Gulf region for a comprehensive service management solution that enables companies to easily bring about Continued Service Improvement through ITIL-based best practices. We expect to see a growing stream of customer wins as our customers in the region share their experiences with peer companies.”

A research from IDC (News - Alert) states that six GCC countries will account for nearly 23 percent of the total IT spend in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region in the near future. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are expected to be the biggest spenders in this domain. Saudi Arabia is projected to spend $3.76 billion (Dh13.81 billion) and the UAE is expected to spend $2.99b (Dh11.01 billion) this year, states IDC.

The company recently announced that Louisville Jefferson Metro has rolled out its ITIL-based solution, assyst, to support 6,000 end users across 46 government and quasi-government agencies. Assyst offers a lifecycle approach to IT Service Management through the integration of Help Desk and Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Asset and Configuration Management and Service Level Management processes in a single solution.
