Xiotech Enhanses the Power of Emprise 5000 via its ISE Powered Alliance Program

Xiotech Corporation, a company that specializes in data storage and protection solutions, is bringing the Emprise 5000 storage system to create a best-of-breed, purpose-built end user solutions through its ISE Powered Alliance Program.

Built on Intelligent Storage Element (ISE) technology, Xiotech's Emprise 5000 system is said to be an innovative concept in data storage, as it offers a balanced building block of performance, reliability, and scalability delivering a low total cost. The system is said to be gaining high level of acceptance and validation in the storage industry as an ideal storage building block, according to the company.

The ISE Powered Alliance Program partners will include: Data Domain and its DD690g de-duplication storage gateway; DataCore and its SANmelody and SANsymphony solutions, which provide heterogeneous storage control for iSCSI and FC SAN solutions; FalconStor and its suite of enterprise-class storage solutions for virtualization and provisioning, data protection and data de-duplication; Hitachi Universal Storage Platform (USP), a large-enterprise, heterogeneous storage solution for data centers; Symantec (News - Alert) and its Veritas Storage Foundation heterogeneous storage management solution, which makes for a highly scalable and high-performance infrastructure when used with Emprise 5000.

"Development of our ISE technology has changed the game with regard to how storage solutions can be built and architected to deliver the most value possible," said Mike Hoch vice president of Marketing at Xiotech.

"The ISE architecture, with management, cache and other drive functions moved close to the storage itself, eliminates controllers and other performance bottlenecks of traditional systems and yields superior performance and reliability. So when our Emprise 5000 is put behind our partners' services, they also work better and deliver more value at better price points. Everybody wins - and most importantly, end users are presented with the best, most flexible storage solutions on the market."

DataCore has reportedly joined Xiotech as a partner through this program.
