SAFFire 3.0 Launched by GoAhead Software

SAFFire 3.0 was recently launched by GoAhead Software, a well known provider of open standards based high availability middleware for mission critical systems. The product is expected to be made available by July 2009. SAFFire’s key elements include among others an unparalleled execution of the Service Availability (SA) Forum open specifications with an emphasis on support of the Platform Management Service.

The company makes available along with this the GoAhead SA Forum Ecosystem (SAFE) Program and the GoAhead SA Forum Architectural Design Service and hence, through a one-of-a-kind marriage of technology, expertise and partner ecosystem, customers have access to a low risk set up that enables high availability for mission critical systems. Customers can easily deploy a highly available ecosystem leveraging the positives from the SAF framework.

The programs can be custom made to suit individual enterprise requirements and to achieve this very experienced GoAhead professional team will work with the organization to write an HA architectural program after grappling with the challenges of implementing the SA Forum AIS specification. Organization are thus, saved the costs of implementing flawed application design.

High availability software is a complicated and highly specialized area of operation. It helps that concerns are able to determine the optimum requirement of availability in a cost enabled manner and can focus their resources on developing the application; this is highly relevant in today’s recessionary environment. The program has three levels of membership based on technology integration-Interoperate, integrate and innovate. GoAhead has collaborated with other open standards based, COTS hardware and software, thus, doing away with most of the rick associated with platform integration and validation.

Dr. Asif Naseem, COO and President of GoAhead opines, “In an economic time when resources must be assigned prudently and make good business sense, we are very pleased to announce SAFFire 3.0, a solution to help equipment manufacturers cost-effectively achieve the most stringent availability requirements while they focus on the application – their area of expertise.”

SAFFire significantly helps organizations identify redundant hardware and software system resources to ensure improved availability. Millisecond, stateful failover and checkpointing to conserve application data help customers enjoy uninterrupted service. SAFFire’s key features include abridged development cycles, better flexibility and choice and unparalleled support of SA Forum specifications.

SAFFire implements SA Forum Platform Management Services which enables organizations to get a streamlined view of the system and make optimum use of the hardware and low level software of the system. Dynamic reconfiguration of objects uncomplicates work of the organization and this speeds up application development with minimal errors. SAFFire 3.0 also integrates with prominent hardware platforms and software solutions.  Additionally, SAFFire AIS services have been updated to support the latest versions of the AIS specifications.
