Alert) newest Ethernet test solution, SunLite GigE, has been chosen by a Tier-1 European network operator to help with the installation and maintenance of its next generation Ethernet network.
Sunrise Telecom noted their solution is packed with rich functionality and superior performance in a highly convenient package.
The SunLite GigE agreement with the operator will exceed $1 million, and will benefit less experienced field technicians and engineers who need an easy-to-use solution for Ethernet and IP testing anywhere in the network.
The SunLite GigE was chosen by the management team for its ease of use, palm size and rugged reliability. Sunrise Telecom expects all these features will make SunLite GigE a very popular test instrument of choice and will soon be deployed on a large scale throughout the nation.
Elaborating on the features of SunLite GigE, officials explain that it is a purpose-built, economical, comprehensive handheld test instrument that can completely qualify Ethernet and IP circuits.
SunLite GigE is available in two configurations: a loopback only device and a unit featuring full traffic generation. The company notes that the full-featured unit can test 10/100/1000 electrical, 100/1000 optical Ethernet, and IP circuits and is fully interoperable with all of Sunrise Telecom’s Ethernet testers, as well as others in the market.
Sunrise Telecom provides test and measurement solutions for telecom, cable and wireless networks. Earlier this month, the company
launched the next generation of its CM2000 cable modem network analyzer. The new product has a number of features including a simple network management protocol (SNMP), Telnet testing, integrated file transfer protocol (FTP) and other options for a CAD viewer and signature capture.
