ManageEngine Intros Updated Network Management Application

ManageEngine, which provides network, systems and security management software solutions, reportedly announced that it has upgraded its network management application to “OpManager” version 8. The product is to facilitate network infrastructure monitoring and management making it faster and easier.
 
The new OpManager 8 will display an “Intro” tab on start up within the application’s Web-based management console. This tab leads an IT administrator through set-up process. This is divided into 4 categories: Discover, Visualize, Manage and Reports. Within 30 minutes, all the devices in the enterprise network can be discovered and monitored for performance.
 
The customizable dashboard is extensible and can hold up to 92 pre-defined widgets. This enables administrators to build personalized monitoring dashboards which will suit different applications including configuring rotating CCTV views of their favorite dashboards.
 
ManageEngine (News - Alert) offers a Network Change & Configuration Management plug-in for OpManager 8 which automates the processes involved in running configuration back-ups for ensuring policy compliance through configuration control.
 
The company’s NetFlow plug-in enables integration of detailed information from NetFlow and six other flow monitoring tools for providing a single, comprehensive view of the network performance.

OpManager monitoring solution includes new features like greater reporting capabilities, additional performance monitoring, failover support and an enhanced intro page with great overview of all of the devices.
 
“Right from the initial configuration settings, to monitoring, alerting and reporting, OpManager 8 makes a landmark leap in terms of ease of use,” said Girish Mathrubootham, vice president, ManageEngine.
 
He added that the new network-specific plug-ins, enhancements and features added to the OpManager 8 facilitates network management that is holistic as well as easy to use.
OpManager is a comprehensive network and IT infrastructure monitoring platform which provides advanced fault and performance management functionalities across WAN, VoIP services network devices, servers, applications, databases and other IT infrastructure.
