BroVis Launches Multimedia Wireless Delivery Platform Integrated with 802.11n Systems

BroVis Wireless Networks, a developer and manufactures next generation broadband wireless access systems, announced the launch of its multimedia wireless delivery platform, MXP, along with its own IEEE (News - Alert) 802.11n based Air Station 1500 series and Air Client 150 series of products.

The MXP (Multimedia Extended Range Platform) caters to enterprises, Internet service providers (ISPs), telcos, hospitality providers, large campus operators and multi-service operators. 

This advanced solution, according to officials, provides “state-of-the-art multimedia content delivery management on the back-end side and comprehensive front-end wireless access management along with cost-effective point-to-point (PTP), point-to-multipoint (PMP) and hotspot wireless solutions in a fully integrated manner.”

The MXP platform includes features such as centralized controller, advanced security, subscriber management, bandwidth management, billing management and advanced multimedia delivery management.

Both Air Station 1500 (AS1500) and Air Client 150 (AC150) product series integrate with BroVis MXP platform seamlessly.

The AS1500 series base station series provides high speed broadband access up to 300Mbps for outdoor applications and also long range backhaul connectivity using specialized antenna.

AS1500 provides a unified network for triple play services and acts as an ideal platform for services like video-on-demand and many interactive multimedia services. It can also provide a cost-effective platform for interactive services and e-learning applications in the rural arena, officials said

AS1500 can be centrally managed via BroVis MXP comprising of all BroVis Advanced Access Manager (BAAM) functionality along with the content delivery management. It caters to the needs of enterprise wireless distribution, last mile connectivity, campus Wireless Fidelity (WiFi (News - Alert)), hospitality WiFi, and content delivery networks.

Air Client 150 (AC150) product line is designed to provide high capacity outdoor backhaul links and high speed subscriber connectivity solutions. AC150 provides short range point-point (SRPP) and mid range point-point (MRPP) backhaul connectivity, adhering to the latest IEEE 802.11n standards.

AC150 comes with advanced security features and supports 802.3af POE standards. It also supports dual band frequencies. The solution caters to services like wireless video surveillance, metro wide surveillance, tele-medicine, rural connectivity and high capacity virtual private network (VPN) services aimed at enterprises.

BroVis recently launched Air Client 100 LRP series and Air Client 100 HTP. 

The Air Client 100 LRP Series is a Carrier Sense Multiple Access / Time Division Multiple Access (CSMA/TDMA) based backhaul wireless system aimed at providing a reliable long distance backhaul link especially for urban and rural connectivity.

Air Client 100 HTP Series offers throughput doubling instantaneously without any comprise on performance. The HTP Series provides higher bandwidth that ensures carrier class delivery of high definition video, rich data and quality voice, so it is ideal for delivering triple-play services.

BroVis also made headlines in the beginning of the year by announcing partnership with Elitecore Technologies. Through this partnership, both companies agreed to offer an integrated network management solution catering to the growing market demand. The solution comprises Elitecore’s billing and bandwidth management solution product 24online and BroVis’ network management system (NMS).
