CSP's Modcomp Subsidiary Earns Cisco Powered Designation

CSP, Inc.’s subsidiary Modcomp, has reportedly received “Cisco (News - Alert) Powered Designation,” which enables the company to offer Cisco Managed Unified Communications and Managed Security services.

Based in Billerica, Massachusetts, CSP (News - Alert) Inc. and its subsidiaries develop and market IT solutions, systems integration services, and high-performance computer systems.

Modcomp’s Cisco Powered services went through rigorous third-party assessment and has been successful in meeting all the requirements based on the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework of best practices and market and industry requirements.

“We are delighted to work with Cisco to achieve a Cisco Powered designation and become a member of Cisco’s Managed Services Channel Program, which will allow us to work with Cisco and our customers on a global basis,” said CSP Chairman, CEO and President Alexander Lupinetti.

“Our relationship with Cisco enables us to continue to grow and scale our Managed Services business in a repeatable and predictable fashion worldwide, allowing better and more consistent results for our customers.”

Designed to improve service providers’ performance and growth, the Cisco Powered designation is created in collaboration with the Managed Services Channel Program. The designation makes it easy for business customers to make the right decision and choose the right service provider.

A company that gets this designation can deliver increased customer confidence in their products and services and get validation of the high standards. Additionally, the certification gives recognition for innovation and the ability to provide high-value services.

Officials at Cisco say their Powered Managed Security delivers firewall technology solutions that allow customers to protect critical business infrastructure from network security threats. The service supports key features available on the Cisco firewall solution and provides companies with a safe and secure business environment.

Edison Peres, senior vice president of the worldwide channels go-to-market group at Cisco said, the market is moving toward the broad adoption of managed services as companies are shifting from managing their own IT infrastructure to buying technology as a service.

“By achieving Cisco Powered designations, Modcomp has made an investment in obtaining the training, skills and knowledge necessary to play a pivotal role in meeting this increasing demand for its customers on a global basis,"  said Peres.
