Adaptivity and Unisys Expand Relationship

Adaptivity, the “IT transformation company,” and Unisys Corporation have expanded their relationship.

The two companies will now jointly provide IT transformation solutions that combine Adaptivity’s IT technology library and applied expertise with the Unisys (News - Alert) 3D Blueprinting approach to mapping business to IT and Unisys solutions for management of a real-time infrastructure (RTI).

Adaptivity officials said that the company and Unisys intend these solutions to help clients proactively address one of the greatest challenges enterprises face today: reactive and costly delivery of IT services to the business.

“CIOs are looking for a proven template to affect systemic transformation of the traditional IT delivery model in order to drive profitability and sustainability, while strengthening their company’s competitive advantages,” said Tony Bishop, chief executive officer (CEO) and founder, Adaptivity, in a statement.

Bishop said that the combination of Adaptivity’s transformative tools and unparalleled industry expertise and Unisys best practices in business-IT linkage, RTI solutions and global reach will give CIOs the technologies and resources necessary to drive IT change.

Officials said that the joint solutions combine the Adaptivity FUEL (Flexible Unified Enterprise Library) and Unisys RTI solutions using the Unisys 3D Blueprinting approach.

According to officials this services-driven methodology provides clients greater visibility into critical linkages and relationships among various levels of the organization, from strategy to IT infrastructure, enabling them to see the effects of critical decisions in advance.

Adaptivity FUEL is a suite of proven practices, playbooks, work products, blueprints, tools and methodologies that lay the groundwork for demand-driven IT transformation programs.

“Unisys has pioneered the development and implementation of comprehensive methodologies and tools that intensify the linkage between business and IT, and these integrate well with Adaptivity’s reusable knowledge base,” said Brian Ott, vice president, global services, Unisys Systems and Technology.

Ott said that Unisys’ relationship with Adaptivity illustrates its shared commitment to leverage the best-in-market practices to transform and automate data center technologies and operations to align with client business priorities.
