IT Services Provider Idhasoft Acquires Roundbox Global

Idhasoft, a software products and IT services provider, has acquired Roundbox Global, an education technology and professional services consultancy. A $125 million company, Idhasoft serves enterprise customers in the United States, Europe and Asia.

Roundbox (News - Alert) Global will provide a boost to the strategic consulting portfolio of Idhasoft. While operating as subsidiary of Idhasoft, Roundbox will still offer its consultancy services to its education, publishing and enterprise clients. The founder and former CEO of Roundbox Global, Justin Beals will continue to direct the education technology initiatives. As the executive vice president of education, Beals will work out of the Atlanta headquarters of Roundbox Global. Beals noted that the ability to combine Roundbox Global’s current service offerings with Idhasoft will provide Roundbox the ability to scale to much larger organizational needs rapidly and efficiently.

Roundbox Global is a strategic business and technology consulting firm that designs and builds enterprise-strength architecture, software, and web applications with deep knowledge of technology and informed perspective of the people who use it. By incorporating best practices in user experience design, Rich Internet Application (RIA) and media development applications are created by Roundbox’s professional technology and business consulting services. The clients of Roundbox Global are able to achieve success through appropriate business value and profitable customer relationships. Roundbox also combines the discipline of developing world-class enterprise and consumer applications with the vision to integrate emerging technologies.

The acquisition of Roundbox is a strategic initiative for Idhasoft to enter the education and publishing industry. The strong domain expertise of Roundbox when coupled with the existing global delivery model will provide huge opportunities for Idhasoft. Shabu Mohammad, president of Idhasoft, will be the CEO for Roundbox Global. According to Mr. Mohammed, the business synergies between Roundbox's vertical focus and Idhasoft's existing horizontal practices in SAP, Oracle (News - Alert), Adobe and TIBCO will create complimentary opportunities. The addition of the near-shore development center in Costa Rica will provide a new method of interaction between Idhasoft's existing customers and projects.

Idhasoft provides IT services like software application development, strategic IT consulting and implementation of third party enterprise-wide products to banking and financial services, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, public sector, retail and telecommunications.
