Arcot Systems Intros New SEND Service in Collaboration with Adobe Systems

Arcot Systems, a provider of fraud prevention, strong authentication, and e-Document security solutions, announced that it will be demonstrating its new “SEND (Secure Electronic Notification and Delivery)” service in collaboration with Adobe Systems (News - Alert) at the upcoming RSA Conference 2009, San Francisco.

According to Arcot, its new SEND service is a secure, email-based alternative to paper correspondence. Developed in collaboration with Adobe Systems and by integrating company’s patented cryptographic camouflage technology into Adobe’s Acrobat family and Adobe Reader, the SEND service securely sends sensitive information over regular email without installing additional hardware or software. The service protects confidential and personally identifiable information by encrypting PDF files.

Arcot says that its SEND service facilitates organizations to securely distribute electronic documents to customers, and in turn customers can securely interact with the dynamic PDF document, verifying information, paying bills, and even signing contracts. With this, the institutions can easily migrate from paper to digital delivery, thereby improving environmental footprint and saving money.

SEND service offers security as well as delivery clearinghouse -- for documents sent to a recipient’s email, but the recipient should have Adobe Reader and ArcotID secure software credential to decrypt the document and view it. The company’s patented cryptographic camouflage technology provides the user with the ability to authenticate, decrypt, view, and store their confidential documents on their desktop, said the company.

Demonstrating the SEND service at the event, Arcot will be showing how its strong authentication and digital signing technology integrates with other technology vendors and Arcot partners, such as Adobe, CA, Google, IBM (News - Alert), Salesforce.com and SUN, in order to -- prevent online fraud, protect digital identities, as well as help protect the environment.

Apart from preventing e-Commerce fraud in real time, Arcot’s authentication technology also secures online shopping experience as well as protects Card Not Present (CNP) transactions.

In addition, Adobe Systems said that it will also be demonstrating its LiveCycle Rights Management ES at the event. Adobe LiveCycle reduces information risk and data loss, as well as improves compliance.
