NEC Europe Selects Webcom's WebSource CPQ

NEC Europe has selected Webcom’s WebSource CPQ via salesforce.com's Force.com AppExchange.

Webcom officials said that WebSource CPQ will allow NEC (News - Alert) Europe to configure, price, quote and propose their offerings across multiple sales and distribution channels anytime, anywhere.

Officials said that WebSource CPQ is designed to help drive increased revenues and margins, increased customer satisfaction, reduced costs and improved productivity.

NEC Europe is a 100 percent subsidiary of NEC Corporation, one of the providers of Internet, broadband network and enterprise business solutions.

NEC Europe delivers tailored products, services and solutions in the key fields of computers and telecommunications.

"Webcom, Inc.'s WebSource CPQ solution met all our requirements for this project. It offers the right level of functionality for quoting and fulfils all our requirements and more," stated Sejal Shah, project manager of NEC Europe, in a statement.

Shah said that being Software as a Service cloud computing solution also takes a lot of the operational and maintenance costs away from the IT Teams and ensures an uninterrupted service, which is key to the operation of the company’s business.

"We are delighted that NEC Europe has selected Webcom, Inc. Their sophisticated Internet, broadband network and enterprise business solutions, combined with continued business momentum, have driven the need for more robust configuration, pricing, and quote management tools to integrate with their Salesforce CRM system," said Robert Bailey, sales director of Northern Europe at Webcom, Inc.

“These needs are a great fit for the company’s capabilities, and we look forward to delivering a fast ROI to NEC," added Bailey.

Kendall Collins, chief marketing officer, salesforce.com said that the AppExchange offers hundreds of cloud computing applications to help customers run their entire business in the cloud.

Collins said that with WebSource CPQ, customers of all sizes can extend their Salesforce CRM implementations with pricing, quoting and configuration to improve mission critical business operations.

Force.com is a proven enterprise platform for building and running business applications in the cloud.
