Securing the Perimeter of Small Businesses

While security issues such maliciously targeted attacks and Internet worms get a lot of attention in the press and can disrupt any small businesses’ IT staff, there are plenty of remedies for those willing to take a closer look.

 

This week Astaro (News - Alert), a leading vendor of network security appliances, will provide a free closer look for small businesses interested in protecting themselves.

Astaro will host a free webinar on Thursday, April 9, 2009, addressing these issues for the small business market including the evolution of security measures from the simple firewall through the most modern Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliances on the market.

 

The webinar, titled “Security at the Perimeter of your Business”, is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET / 11:00a.m. PT.

 

Angelo Comazzetto, product manager at Astaro, will discuss the advantages of the UTM approach to security, as well as provide insight into the single security as a point of failure.

 

Among the topics Comazzetto will address are the key features of solutions to network security including: Network, Web, and E-mail Security; the company’s modular approach to sales an sizing, and where they expect the market to go in the future.

 

Comazzetto has extensive experience in this space with five years educating customers on the best ways to apply Astaro technology to their networks. In his role with Astaro, Comazzetto speaks at various tradeshows and events, and also crafts videos and technical publications found online.  He holds two Bachelor's of Science Degrees from DeVry Institute of Technology, one in Business Information Systems and the other in Business Administration.

 

In addition, he has over 12 years of technical experience and specializes in ensuring customers get the most from their Astaro products.
