Mushroom Networks (

Alert), a company specializing in broadband bonding technology, announced that it is partnering with
Semo.net, a Midwest Internet provider, for delivering high-speed bi-directional broadband service to its business class customers.
Semo.net will be re-branding Mushroom Networks’ Broadband Bonding solution with its service offering called Hydra Internet Service. This service offers business customers choice of different types of broadband connections such as DSL, cable modem, or wireless into a single high-speed connection with near 100 percent reliability.
Brian Becker, CEO of Semo.net, said the combination of several types of broadband access connections into a single high-speed pipe ensures Internet connectivity to business customers even when there is a severed line. Semo.net Internet Services offers residential and business services over Frame Relay, MPLS, Cable, DSL, Wireless and Dialup access.
The Mushroom Broadband Bonding service and the product lines combine multiple broadband Internet connections of different types into a single high-speed link. Using this, customers can optimize the Internet pipe to connect their branch offices, data centers or get generic Internet access for any type of IP traffic including VPNs, file transfers, network storage, and IP based voice and video communications. High bandwidth speed is possible bi-directionally also. The bonding service eliminates uplink bottlenecks in the Internet access service.
“The bane of utilizing inexpensive broadband lines such as DSL or cable for business has always been in the uplink direction – put simply, slow uploads makes large file transfers and multimedia applications like video conferencing extremely daunting,” said Cahit Akin, co-founder and CEO of Mushroom Networks. “By coupling our Broadband Bonding technology with a provider’s existing infrastructure and service offerings, ISP’s like Semo.net can capture a whole new segment of business class customers with little or no investment.”
The Hydra Internet Service provides sustained burst speeds of 10mb/s download & 5mb/s upload. It employs three distinct transports and two ISPs for ensuring a reliable and resiliently redundant Internet service.
Mushroom Networks’ product line are suitable for SMBs, enterprises, multi-tenant buildings, and broadband service providers and is capable of bonding various broadband access technologies into a single broadband pipe which is scalable according to needs of customers.
