Tolly Unveils Tool to Aid Buyers in RFP Process for IT Equipment

Tolly Common RFP LLC, a Tolly Group company, has unveiled Tolly Common RFP, a set of best practices guides that the company claims offers IT buyers a proven, unbiased framework for assessing the performance, features and power consumption of IT products.

Company officials said that Tolly Common RFPs will help users to shorten the time required to build RFP documents and provide internal staff with proven, ready-made test methodologies used to compare products.

In addition the offering is poised to enable buyers to evaluate products with accuracy and create a "short list" of top prospects, saving both end-users and technology vendor’s time and money.

"IT staffs today have their backs against the wall with shrinking budgets, overtaxed staffs and high user demands," said Kevin Tolly, founder of the Tolly companies.

Tolly Common RFP supports IT staff to become instant experts on a given technology, understand the salient characteristics they need to examine and compare products, and provide leading-edge test methodologies to benchmark and assess products.

Moreover, Tolly Common helps vendors who can pre-qualify their products to prospective buyers using the Common RFP test methodologies to demonstrate product performance and capabilities based upon an independent third-party set of test methodologies.

The Tolly Group (News - Alert), an independent testing and strategic consulting organization based in Boca Raton, FL, offers a full range of services designed to furnish both the vendor and end user communities with authoritative and unbiased information.

Back in November, the company announced the launch of a LAN Switch Power Consumption RFP aimed at providing end-users with the tools necessary to evaluate and test the power consumption of LAN switches more efficiently.
