TCIC, KPQR Partner To Provide ISO IT Security, Services Certification in India

More Asian companies will likely be certified to ISO IT security and service management standards. TCIC Global Certification has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Knowledge Partner Quality Registrar (KPQR), to offer specialized IT security and services management training and certification services to KPQR’s Indian clients and employees.

 

This new relationship gives KPQR and its clients an impartial external evaluation and access to global certification for ISO 27001 and ISO/20000 standards.

 

ISO 27001 is the standard against which organizations may seek independent certification of their Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). The standard specifies requirements for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving documented ISMS within the context of the organization’s overall risk management processes. It specifies requirements for the implementation of security controls customized to the needs of individual organizations. The standard provides an ISMS model for adequate and proportionate security controls to protect information assets and give confidence to interested parties.

 

ISO 20000 is a new worldwide standard specifically aimed at IT service management (ISTM). It describes an integrated set of management processes for the effective delivery of services to the business and its customers by benchmarking these activities.  ISO/IEC (News - Alert) 20000 will, says TCIC, reduce operational exposure to risk, meet contractual and tendering requirements, demonstrate service quality and deliver best value. It will also enable organizations to deliver high levels of customer service to meet their business needs.
