Emerson Network Power, a provider of AC and DC power and precision cooling systems, embedded computing and power, integrated racks and enclosures, power switching and controls, monitoring and connectivity, has unveiled a new high-efficiency external power adapter, so called AD2412N3L (AD24).
AD24 is a freestanding AC-DC power adapter which produces a fully regulated 12 volt output and features a universal 90-264 Vac input.
This new external adapter provides a flexible power solution with a compact form-factor for a wide variety of portable and desktop applications including instrumentation, telecommunications, test and measurement systems and computer peripherals.
Emerson (

It demonstrates a high level of efficiency and features switching regulators for switched-mode operation to comply with Energy Star and Blue Angel requirements.
It also works in a wide range of ambient temperatures without de-rating - from -5C to +50C - compared to typical adapters and has a high calculated MTBF of 850,000 full-load hours at 25C ambient.
The adapter also features a built-in EMI filter and meets rigorous EN55022-B (
