Optenet Introduces New Line of Web 2.0 Security Solutions

IT security and content solutions provider Optenet has unveiled its new line of Web 2.0 security solutions including Optenet NetSecure, Optenet MailSecure, Optenet WebSecure and Optenet WebFilter.
These solutions, featuring Web filtering, antivirus, anti-spam, anti-phishing, anti-spyware, malware, peer-to-peer and instant messaging protection, will allow enterprises to protect themselves from the dynamic virus and malware threats posed by Web 2.0 technologies. With Optenet's suite of solutions, enterprises can combat zero day vulnerabilities, blended threats and the next generation of attacks.
"Enterprises today are facing an unprecedented and rapidly evolving threat landscape," said Joel Silberman, vice president of North America for Optenet. "As a result, security providers need to arm enterprises with solutions that can adapt and react as quickly as Web 2.0 threats require. NetSecure, MailSecure, WebSecure and WebFilter offer enterprises the most dynamic and complete protection available in flexible delivery options that allow organizations to choose the protection that is right for their needs and budget without compromising on effectiveness."
The new suite of security solutions is based on the proven Optenet architecture and is powered by Carrier Class Optenet Transparent Traffic Analyzer (CCOTTA), which provides real-time processing and coordination of all network traffic passing through the Optenet solution. CCOTTA also eliminates the need for buying new hardware every time the bandwidth requirements of the user increase.
Optenet has taken the opportunity to also unveil its Global Intelligence Acquisition Network for Threats (GIANT) which is an automated network for classifying and identifying Web and email content. The collective intelligence network investigates Internet traffic and sends updates to every Optenet installation. This allows organizations to identify new threats and be prepared to tackle them.
"To maintain real-time performance and keep up with the dynamic nature of the Internet, it is critical to have an automated mechanism for content analysis and classification. Manual intervention and static lists are no longer adequate," continued Silberman. "GIANT's unique access to a full range of threat data from a variety of resources around the world enables Optenet to provide superior intelligence and dynamic protection to our customers."
Optenet cater to service providers and large enterprises around the world by providing its high-performance content filtering solutions. TMCnet recently reported that Optenet has integrated Commtouch’s (News - Alert) GlobalView Mail Reputation service into its e-mail security offerings to landline and mobile telecom operators.
