New Adobe Scene7 Template Publishing Service Extends Hosted Media Platform

Adobe Systems has introduced Adobe Scene7 Template Publishing, a new service that extends the Adobe Scene7 hosted media platform for retail, eCommerce, enterprise and multi-channel marketing businesses.

This service is an add-on module to the Adobe Scene7 platform, to offer hosted software environment for producing and publishing customized print and cross-media marketing materials.

The Adobe Scene7 Template Publishing solution allows the Web-to-print solutions and allow distributed users to produce professionally branded documents. It helps to retain complete corporate marketing brand control, significantly reducing design and production costs, and shortening turnaround times. Template Publishing uniquely supports designer-controlled layouts or templates created in popular desktop applications, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator software.

Once uploaded into the service, users set variables for layers, attributes, and properties, enabling output to cross-channel formats including Web, print, and e-mail. By leveraging Adobe proprietary text and color-rendering technologies, this solution maintains the highest fidelity from desktop to published output.

The Adobe Scene7 Template Publishing solution will help companies to upload corporate layouts and templates, for regional marketing teams to produce customized communication and marketing collateral, like email blasts, office supplies, stationery, business cards, banners, logos, calendars, datasheets, and other materials.

“Businesses are being challenged to meet the demands of their globally-dispersed consumers, marketing teams and sales forces, who expect high-quality custom print materials delivered in a timely, cost-effective manner,” said Doug Mack, vice president of consumer and hosted solutions at Adobe.

“As a hosted service, Adobe Scene7 Template Publishing is an ideal solution for enabling web-to-print applications by allowing marketers to update and post new templates that users can easily personalize, preview and instantly generate a print-ready PDF, SWF or image on-demand,” said Mack.

Adobe Scene7 Template Publishing complements Adobe InDesign CS4 Server, a solution for advanced creative professionals in advertising agencies, magazine and newspaper publishing houses that manage sophisticated, large volume marketing and print publishing projects.

Adobe Scene7 Template Publishing is compatible with Adobe Photoshop CS4, Adobe InDesign CS4, and Adobe Illustrator CS4.
