Comarch Aids Management of IT Infrastructure

Comarch reportedly has announced a new solution for the management of IT infrastructure. Designed for middle and large sized enterprises and their respective branches, the solution features the integration of a wide range of functions and provides fault and performance monitoring.

Comarch’s (News - Alert) IT Management system combines Auto-Discovery, CMDB functionalities, SLA Management as well as an ITIL-based process environment. The solution also boasts rapid adaptability to company growth due to the easy integration of brand new modules and functionalities.

The system offers a number of benefits to the consumers.Users can monitor the network quality by using alarms or through reports and statistics in the longer term. The system also features a special reporting engine that processes all data gathered in the database.

Comarch officials point out that the auto-discovery function enables automatic population of the CMDB with devices and network topology. Data from Configuration management database (CMDB) can be visualized using flexible concepts of views displaying hierarchies, relationships and network diagrams.

Various functions such as designing, configuring, prioritizing and the monitoring of services and associated SLA contracts between the IT service provider and customer (internal or external) are accomplished by effective SLA management.

The company further explains that process management realized by the inbuilt process engine can automatically distribute tasks related to failure rectification, performance optimization, SLA threats, configuration management, customer requests and many other operations.

Based on the Comarch Network and Service Management platform, Comarch IT Management provides high scalability as well as mature, robust functionalities for the integration and automation of network processes.

The Comarch Network and Service Management platform has already been tested by a number of implementations in demanding telecommunication environments. A fast and easy implementation is possible due to preconfigured components as well as predefined configurations that are harmonized with the IT environment.

Users also find the system easy to handle because of the seamless integration of functional modules within a visual environment.
