Stealth Computer Rebrands Company and Changes Domain Name to Stealth.Com Inc.

Since its founding in 1990 as a privately-owned Canadian company, Stealth Computer Corporation has been a major supplier of premium industrial rugged computers and peripherals. The company’s products are marketed worldwide to a broad range of industrial, military, scientific, commercial (Fortune 500) and government users.

Yours Truly first took notice of Stealth in 1996 when they announced a performance, rugged, weatherproof, NEMA 4, industrial grade notebook PC called the StealthNOTE Industrial Notebook PC. It was designed specifically for both in-house and outdoor applications. Its die-cast aluminum, high shock/vibration proof chassis that could survive a three foot drop onto concrete and could resist dirt, oil, grime and rough handling of in-plant operations as well as the vibration, transport shock, rain shower, high humidity, salt fog and temperature extremes typical of field operating environments.

A couple of years later, Stealth Computer announced a new line of fault resilient industrial PCs - the Rackmount Warrior, which is still quite popular in 2009. The Rackmount Warrior systems got everyone’s attention by being housed in a rugged, all-metal, no-flex 19-inch rackmount enclosure (14 or 20 slots) that could withstand shock, vibration, dust and wide temperature variations. In addition to hot swap N+1 load sharing power supplies providing continuous system operation, the Rackmount Warrior incorporated Stealth’s then-unique power alarm monitoring circuitry. (If a power supply fails the system provides a visual warning light and a dry contact output that can be connected to an alarm bell, light or logic input.)

And now, Stealth Computer Corporation announced that they are adopting Stealth.Com Inc. as their new corporate name. The Stealth.Com name change is said to better reflect the company’s brand and establishes their prominent brand identity as a leading manufacturer of industrial rugged and specialized computer products.

The company’s Web site, stealth.com is an essential integrated business tool that only facilitates business activity but also serves as an important source of information for prospective buyers.

Stealth.Com prides itself on quick follow-up, short lead times, and an easy ordering process. The company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility allows for rapid turnaround, while it’s engineering, technical support, and sales teams bring years of experience to the issues involved in harsh-environment, high-availability and mission critical applications.

Stealth’s products are typically sold based on form factor/size, degree of ruggedness, environmental protection, product quality, long-term support and performance. Stealth has a wide range of rugged industrial specialized products that fill a niche market that is not served by traditional computer manufacturers or suppliers. Stealth’s products are targeted at vertical markets that require specialized hardware solutions. Unlike white box commodity hardware products, many of Stealth’s products are built to order to fill the exact needs of a specific application. The products are broken down into categories as each has their own defining characteristics, benefits and features.

Yours Truly wishes them the best of luck.
