Phihong Intros Two New 48V Adapter Models

Power solutions provider Phihong has added two new 48V output adapter models, the PSAA60W-480 two-wire input adapter and the PSAA60M-480 three-wire input adapter to its PSAA60W and PSAA60M single output adapter series.

The two series already comprise 12, 15, 18, and 24V output models, which are suitable for portable equipment, networking, peripherals, and gaming machines. The new models will be able to handle networking, data communications, and IP applications more effectively.

Keith Hopwood, vice president of marketing for Phihong (News - Alert), explained, “Expanding our 60W universal adapter lines to include higher voltage devices allows us to continue to provide networking and personal electronics OEMs with a wide variety of energy efficient and competitively priced solutions for a range of applications.”

The new 48V adaptors conform to the United States’ Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (EISA). In addition, they adhere to the Class B (News - Alert) conducted and radiated electromagnetic emissions norms and bear the TUV safety markings and approvals.
The adaptors also come with cUL/UL, CE, and CB safety markings and approvals.

Offering more than 85 percent average output efficiency, all the adapters of the PSAA60W and PSAA60M series feature no-load power consumption of less than 0.5W. Among other features of the adaptors are short-circuit and over-voltage protection with auto restart, as well as over-current protection.

The PSAA60W-480 adapters list at $26.95 each at 25 pieces. The PSAA60M-480 adapters are priced at $27.11 each at 25 pieces.

Phihong has a proven track record in providing power supplies, adapters, and Power-over-Ethernet products, to networking and consumer electronics OEMs.

Last month, TMCnet reported that Phihong had launched the PSA18R-120P, an 18W interchangeable plug adapter. According to the company, this adapter is energy efficient and offers worldwide compatibility for OEM applications, including wireless communications, peripherals, portable equipment, and networking equipment.
