Para Systems Extends Continuity During Power Outages

Para Systems, a manufacturer of the comprehensive line of Minuteman power protection solutions, has released its EXL Series of extreme runtime battery packs for mission critical applications.

 

Para Systems’ EXL Series is fully compatible with Minuteman's Endeavor online and EnterprisePlus line interactive UPS solutions for enterprise IT, security and voice over IP (VoIP) phone systems.

 

A Frost & Sullivan survey revealed that today, SMBs are searching for longer battery back-up times for servers, networking devices, data storage, telephone and security systems. Having a longer time to react when power outages occur is no longer considered a luxury according to Vishal Sapru, energy and power industry analyst for Frost and Sullivan who explained how IT managers now have to handle an increasing number of mission-critical systems and applications.

 

“SMBs continue to tell us that they want UPS solutions that offer more battery backup time,” he added.

 

Power failures have a snow balling effect on the operational function of the businesses that struggle to continue their work despite the non functional phone systems, explained Bill Allen, director of marketing for Para Systems.

 

A dysfunctional network impacts the vital operational functions of the companies and therefore it is very important for the IT mangers to keep the systems up and running during an extended power outage, he added.

 

In November 2008, Para Systems formed a technology marketing partnership with Epygi Technologies, a provider of small to medium business telephone systems.

 

Commenting on the partnership, Mario Cuello, CEO of Epygi (News - Alert) Technologies said that Para Systems will help them ensure their telephone system users have knowledge of and access to the Minuteman brand of high quality power protection solutions.
