Converge Receives IDC's G.R.A.D.E. Certification for IT Asset Disposition

Converge, a global supply chain partner for technology-driven companies, has just received IDC's Green Recycling and Asset Disposal for the Enterprise (G.R.A.D.E.)  Certification for best practices in enterprise IT asset disposition (ITAD) services.

 

ITAD helps businesses retire used computers, laptops, servers, printers and other electronic gear in an environmentally safe and cost-effective way.

 

The G.R.A.D.E. certification is issued by technology market analyst firm IDC (News - Alert), the company which offers market intelligence, advisory services, and events for the information technology, telecommunications, and consumer technology markets.

 

IDC is a subsidiary of IDG, a global technology media, research and events company. The G.R.A.D.E. certification is issued based on 34 ITAD-related functions and tasks and uses a multidimensional weighting system that incorporates the broad offerings of remote applications, on-site services, logistics, and in-plant processing and post treatment.

 

Proper disposition of an organization’s sensitive e-waste is become the prime concern today. The company believes that genuine Windows operating systems increase the residual value of used PCs and laptops that can further reduce disposal costs.
