X1 Technologies Releases New Content Connector V1.3 for Symantec Enterprise Vault

Pasanda, California-based X1 Technologies has announced expanded support for IBM Lotus Notes and Domino with the release of the X1 Content Connector V1.3 for Symantec (News - Alert) Enterprise Vault.

 

With the new Content Connector for Symantec Enterprise Vault, users can search, preview and act upon archived Lotus Notes and Domino email, contacts and email attachments.

 

The addition of Lotus Notes and Domino support to the Content Connector for Symantec Enterprise Vault allows customers to have a 360 degree view of their email, according to company officials.

 

The new Lotus Notes and Domino support in the Content Connector for Symantec Enterprise Vault is equipped with the ability to perform keyword, phrase and range searches in addition to Boolean searches on archived emails, contacts and email attachments.

 

Officials said that the full fidelity preview allows users to preview the search results without recalling the email or accessing the native application of the attachment.

 

Moreover, post search options allow users to perform common actions such as reply, reply to all, forward, open, send, print, copy to folder and zip from the same interface they performed the search.

 

“Given the success of our X1 Professional Client in Lotus Notes and Domino environments, we were anxious to increase our breadth of Lotus Notes and Domino support with the new Content Connector for Symantec Enterprise Vault,” said John Waller, president and COO at X1 Technologies.

 

Bryan Kolak, senior systems administrator at Eagle Test Systems (News - Alert), said that his company uses the X1 Content Connector for Symantec Enterprise Vault to search all of the email, both online and vaulted, in a “quick” and “efficient” manner.
