SkyTel Intros New Wireless Mobile Resource Management Platform

SkyTel has introduced Resource iQ, a new wireless mobile resource management (MRM) platform that delivers custom data analysis and business intelligence. The company says it does much more than providing just mapping and location monitoring. Resource iQ is designed to give business and government customers real-time strategic insight into the performance of vehicle fleets, workforces and other mobile assets.

Mark Hull (News - Alert), chief executive officer of SkyTel, said this newest launch helps the customers to cut down operating costs and maximize profitability by making the most of their remote, mobile assets. Resource iQ assures organizations that their resources in the field are delivering maximum value for their business.

The user-friendly online software featured in Resource iQ helps organizations to manage fleets and analyze performance metrics. The solution also includes features such as street and satellite mapping and a dashboard that provides key performance indicators. These features give dispatch operators and management the required visibility to perform a number of functions such as optimization of routes, management by exception, reduction of overtime requirements and optimization of mobile workforce performance.

What makes Resource iQ unique is the iQ Expert, a hands-on dedicated expert that helps customers to fully leverage the service by establishing strategic goals and task plans with their core operating groups. According to SkyTel’s officials, iQ Experts will demonstrate how businesses can convert automated, custom reporting and analytics into opportunities for meeting ROI goals. These experts will also conduct best practice education across the customer’s organization as well as perform ongoing software-specific training when required.

Prior to this launch, customers had to settle for wireless MRM solutions that deliver monitoring data with little guidance on what to do with it. Hull believes Resource iQ addresses the need of an MRM solution that converts that data into actionable business intelligence.

“In this difficult economic environment, solutions like Resource iQ that focus on delivering ROI will have greater value for companies struggling to do more with less,” he said.
