Crestron Joins EMerge Alliance

This New Year is the right time for energy saving and adaptability for Crestron Electrinics, a manufacturer of advanced control and automation systems. The company has just joined as the new member of the EMerge Alliance, the alliance that was launched in November 2008 with an intention to expand the creation and deployment of a new power, control and device-level technology standard for commercial interiors through the use of DC power.

 

This new membership with Emerge will allow Crestron to contribute its expertise in delivering fully integrated solutions that can manage and control disparate building systems intelligently and efficiently.

 

Efficient usage of electricity has become one of the critical necessities today. This has forced several building designers and owners to increasingly seek for such systems that can make buildings more adaptable and integration of infrastructure, equipment and furnishings that can improve energy efficiency.

 

The key focus of the EMerge Alliance standard is the selective and scaleable distribution of low-voltage DC power within common infrastructures already present in commercial interiors. This new commercial technology standard will also lay the groundwork for future innovations in energy efficient and individually controllable devices, such as Light-Emitting Diode (LED) lighting.

 

Owing to this great demand for flexi power distribution and device control solutions, the Alliance is eager to adopt low-voltage DC power, which simplifies the installation of lighting fixtures and other devices.
