The company said that its solutions offer designers with flexibility, higher integration, and fast time to market.
The company will be showcasing energy-efficient variable-speed motor control for home appliances based on
Altera’s Cyclone III FPGAs and
Alizem motor control IP.
Echelon collaborated with Altera and enhanced its LonWorks communications protocol (ANSI/EIA709.1 and EN14908) that has been implemented in Cyclone FPGA. This FPGA-based solution, in conjunction with Echelon’s new high-speed network transceiver offers an easy hardware interface to LonWorks control networks.
Altera will also be showing high-definition (HD) LCD, 3D display technology from
Dynamic Digital Depth. These are based on Altera's Arria® and GX FPGA that help in building easy-to-use and affordable 3D home entertainment.
Altera that will be showcasing ST video framework is based on Cyclone III FPGA, which is running over
Microtronix's ViClaro III HD interface board. This board is used for highly integrated, next-generation HD 1080 pixel displays.
Synfora PICO Extreme tools will also be seen at the show. These run video processing algorithm on the company’s Cyclone III FPGA along with RTL conversion. They are used for displays, digital TVs and other broadcast applications.
Altera has also used its MAX® and IIZ CPLD in many multi-touch, power-efficient interfaces for portable devices that will be showcased at the event.
PWM (pulse width modulation) for lighting, sound and motion control can be done using a MAX IIZ CPLD on a SLS Mantra board for portable devices, which will be showcased at the event.
A mobile, full QWERTY keyboard scanner that leverages Altera’s MAX IIZ CPLD will also be on display at CES (
