Westcon Security Distributes Crossbeam's Next Generation Security Solutions to UK Reseller Channel

Western Group recently announced that its Westcon UK business has entered into an agreement with Crossbeam (News - Alert) Systems for the distribution of its X-Series Next Generation Security Platform in the UK reseller market. As both Westcon UK and Crossbeam Systems are known as experts in the UTM market, such an arrangement will allow Westcon Security to use this platform for helping their enterprise customers deliver high returns on investment.

"Crossbeam Systems is a very robust addition to our security portfolio and indeed to our SecurityPoint (News - Alert) program, which already includes best of breed manufacturers like Check Point, ISS and Trend Micro. Crossbeam excels in virtualization solutions, and we see this as a key business driver due to the clear economical and ecological benefits of reducing hardware, power requirements, and rack space. Working with Crossbeam, we will be able to help our resellers consolidate their customers' infrastructures," said Kay Bruen, managing director of Westcon Security.

Based on the Next Generation Security Platform, Crossbeam’s security service solutions play their role without compromising on its customers’ chosen security applications. While its X-Series is said to be a high performance security platform, it has also been tested to wire-line rates of 40 Gbps with ultra-low latency. With such a feature, the platform provides large enterprises and carrier networks with high flexibility and scale so as to support their security requirements.
