They will now provide state-of-the-art availability, configuration management, and platform management capabilities in one integrated, validated application-ready platform.
Tail-f’s ConfD works as a complete software solution for on-device network management and GoAhead’s SAFfire enables equipment manufacturers to design and develop systems and applications that ensure continuous service availability. When combined, both these products yield a highly available and manageable platform. The companies claim that value-added services, protocol stacks and applications can be built upon this platform with unprecedented utility in a short amount of time.
Dr. Asif Naseem, GoAhead president and COO pointed out that it is difficult to build a system using COTS building blocks and the system developers are often challenged with inadequate software APIs, overlapping functionality, duplicate data stores, and memory footprint constraints.
