ACS Extends Partnership with Ingram Micro Through IT Outsourcing Contract

Affiliated Computer Services, (ACS (News - Alert)) is announcing an expansion of its relationship with Ingram Micro Inc. ACS recently renewed a five-year contract with Ingram Micro (News - Alert) for outsourced information technology services.

Ingram Micro has been turning to ACS for a broad range of IT application and technology infrastructure services since 2002. Ingram Micro is considered to be the world’s largest technology distributor.

"Our partnership with ACS has enabled us to focus on Ingram Micro's core business and achieve cost savings in our IT operations by taking advantage of ACS' best practices, technical expertise and global delivery capabilities," said Sean C. Barker, vice president, Global IT Operations, Ingram Micro Inc., in a Monday statement.

"ACS has supported our business growth by providing services while being flexible and responsive to our business priorities. ACS understands our business and is a truly valued partner."

To help Ingram Micro achieve its industry goals, ACS provides IT services for the company’s North American business unit and its global regions. Services include the management of midrange, mainframe, desktop and enterprise storage operations; data center outsourcing; service desk; and wide area and local area network support and engineering.

"We believe the ultimate measure of our success is when we can grow with our clients and they renew their relationships with us. Our close working partnerships have helped us achieve one of the best renewal rates in the industry," said Derrell James, executive vice president and group president, IT Outsourcing Solutions, ACS, in Monday’s statement.

"Ingram Micro is a prime example of how we collaborate with our clients to understand their business and develop technology strategies to help them grow."

ACS positions its global IT Outsourcing Solutions to enable commercial businesses and government organizations throughout the world to focus on their core competencies. The company specializes in the design, development and delivery of effective IT solutions.

In doing so, ACS helps clients to streamline IT functions and improve their competitive position. ACS IT solutions include application infrastructure, business applications, technology infrastructure, and IT consulting services.

ACS has driven success by focusing on delivering to clients a service that is fine-tuned according to industry needs. Such a service enables client companies to focus on driving revenues, allowing ACS to deliver the customer service and support necessary to complement such activities.

Ingram Micro has long enjoyed the benefit of its relationship with ACS and due to the success thus far, extended the contract. This is only possible and even probable when a company performs to expectations. Given Ingram Micro’s response to this extension, ACS is delivering the value necessary to allow the company to continue to drive performance.
