The Planet Announces 10Mbps and 100Mbps Unmetered Bandwidth Packages for Alpha Customers

The Planet, a provider of on demand IT infrastructure solutions, has credited with un-metered bandwidth for its Planet Alpha dedicated server customers.

 

In general, the dedicated servers are often housed in data centers, where the server hardware is owned by the provider and sometimes as well provide support for customer’s operating system and applications, thereby providing redundant power sources.

 

According to The Planet, its Planet Alpha is a provider of dedicated servers, which is hosting more than 22,000 small- and medium-sized businesses worldwide. This affordable comprehensive dedicated hosting solution features SAS 70 Type II certified data centers, high-speed and secured networking, advanced server technology, ‘un-metered bandwidth’ and a full range of technical support and management services, which facilitates customers to grow their business.

 

In general, ‘un-metered’ means that the customer can utilize as much bandwidth/transfer as needed without worrying about bandwidth overages or extra charges. There is monitoring of the data usage from the provider but, the maximum amount of transfer is limited only by the connection that the customer is signed up for.

 

With Planet Alpha featuring un-metered bandwidth, its customers can avoid costly overages while taking advantage of quality Tier-1 bandwidth - for a single flat fee. This solution is best suited for customers with high-traffic Web sites, or those who offer streaming media or gaming content, said The Planet.
