Comptel Corporation, a vendor of dynamic Operations Support System (OSS) software, has announced that Greek operator
WIND Hellas has selected Comptel Provisioning and Activation Solution.
WIND Hellas is one of Greece’s largest telecommunications operators with an annual turnover of EUR1.3 billion and more than 5 million customers.
The company has to operate in a competitive environment, and according to Nicolas Costaras, WIND Hellas CIO, they need to be able to anticipate and respond to customer needs very rapidly in this kind of a market.
WIND Hellas needs flexible OSS solutions that can achieve the best possible time-to-market and selected Comptel as they knew their solutions would meet that requirement.
“Comptel’s existing collaboration with Orascom was clearly also very helpful for us,” he noted.
By automating the provisioning and activation processes the solution covers the entire workflow from service order to start of billing. The solution is also helping WIND Hellas to manage mobile number portability. According to company’s officials, the entire project was delivered in just 4 months.
“We are pleased to have been selected by WIND Hellas,” said Simo Sääskilahti, Comptel’s senior vice president Products and Solutions in a statement. “We are also very proud that we managed to live up to their high expectations by delivering the project in a short time-frame, a good illustration of Comptel's time-to-market and reliable delivery promises.”
Last month,
Sybase 365, a subsidiary of
Sybase Inc., a provider of mobile messaging services,
