Cisco WebEx Enables Fundraising Training Across Geographic Borders

Any organization that must train a number of individuals who are located throughout a country or even state must look beyond traditional training methods to get the job done. Economic status and a heightened emphasis on green initiatives have increased the pressure on companies to reduce travel and look to technology to get the job done.

 

As a result of Cisco technology, more than 45,000 fundraising coordinators from schools and non-profit organizations across the country can now receive skills training with eScrip’s use of Cisco (News - Alert) WebEx Training Center.

 

No matter what the state of the economy, up-to-date training is critical for education fundraising. WebEx enables eScrip to conveniently provide these important training sessions to both current and new fundraising coordinators.

 

Electronic Scrip Incorporated (ESI (News - Alert)), also known as eScrip, is a California-based corporation focused on establishing relationships between commerce and community. The company also provides resources to organizations that support children.

ESI launched the eScrip program in 1999 and has distributed more than $200 million to schools and youth organizations throughout the country. WebEx empowers ESI to be able to share valuable training information and best practices with all participating schools, regardless of location.

Many of these coordinators help their schools raise $50,000-$75,000 or more annually. Because we can offer this online, we can now offer this advantage to all school volunteers."

"We are in Alaska, and traveling for training would be extremely expensive for our organization," said Cindy Jorgensen, Anne Wien Elementary Parent-Teacher Association, in the statement. "I felt this presentation answered lots of questions. Thank you for providing this meeting without necessitating travel."
