Telindus Belgacom ICT Luxembourg Partners with Guardium

Telindus Belgacom ICT, an international information and communication technology (ICT) integrator, has been chosen as a value-added reseller for database security company Guardium in Luxembourg and Belgium.

The companies have announced their first sale to a European financial services company, which offers comprehensive international securities services, settling more than 250,000 transactions daily. Guardium 7 is safeguarding the firm’s critical customer and financial transaction information.

Daniel Soriano, Sales Department manager of Security, Audit and Governance Services of Telindus Belgacom (News - Alert) ICT Luxembourg said that their company aims to help customers manage risk and IT governance by using technologies like real-time database security and continuous auditing.

Soriano noted that customers can enhance their competitive advantage with Guardium’s enterprise security platform without compromising security. Guardium also reduces operational costs and allows customers to comply with complex international regulations using automated and centralized controls.

Guardium decided to partner with Telindus Belgacom ICT impressed by their technology expertise and trusted advisor relationship with public and private sector organizations. They also appreciate the company’s customer-centric approach and extensive support capabilities, according to Brian Flasck, regional director, Guardium.

He explained that organizations are now aware of the urgent need for data-level security, and due to complexity of governance regulations based on COBIT such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), as well as privacy regulations such as the EU Data Protection Directive (EUDPD), Guardium has experienced rapid adoption by firms in all geographies and industry sectors.

In October, Guardium’s enterprise security platform was chosen by the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) to continuously monitor all database transactions in real-time, including actions by “super users” such as database and system administrators, development and testing staff, and other privileged users, including outsourced teams.
